Use of the equipment for data collection The Gait Analysis Laboratory has high-tech equipment available for collecting data for research. The equipment is not limited to looking at only gait it can be adapted to a range of movements. In the past, for example, work has looked at upper limb movements and sit to stand. As well as this the team has broad research experience and can offer advice and support to people who are putting together research proposals and grant applications.
Benefits: The Gait Assessment equipment can provide a quantitative evaluation of how a person is moving. This can provide meaningful outcome measures for research projects. However, there can be limitations to the technology and detailed planning is important when considering using the equipment. Ideas: If you have any research ideas that could benefit from any of the possible range of outcome measures offered by our equipment please contact us to discuss your requirements. |
